A crazy storm blew through our neighborhood today.  A ton of rain fell and even some hail!  It flooded the street down the road from us.  I love summer storms.  :)

Awesome rainbow

Best burgers ever!

These burgers were beyond good!  Katie's mom wanted to try making burgers with the cheese cooked in the middle (she caught it on the food network) so I filled her in on my burger recipe.  Together it made one of the best burgers I have ever put in my mouth!  It was insane!!

First Father's Day

Had a great day today.  Went up to Snowbird to check out the BBQ Fest then had a tasty dinner and a beer at Porcupine.  Nice weather and a fun relaxing day with Katie and Graham!

The sun is finally out

Summer showed up on Friday so we went and bought some flowers!  Katie's been wanting to go get some more plants but it's hard to get motivated when it feels like September!  The forecast for Saturday looks crappy so we better enjoy it while it lasts.

Graham is starting to stand up on his own!  Sure, he kind of wobbles around and then plops down on his big diaper bum, but he's making progress.  Before we know it he'll be walking all over the place.

We took Mom and Ash to Eggs in the City for breakfast. It was all fun and games until Graham dumped a glass of water all over Dad's lap! :) The food was tasty though!!

Shopping in Park City

The weather sucked today so we took a trip up to Park City to do some shopping.  I spent most of my time surfing the web on my Pre while everyone else searched for cute clothes for Graham.  We ended the day with dinner at Cafe Rio so I was a happy camper.

Hiking To The Top

We finally got some nice weather and decided to take Mom and Sis to the Timpanogos Cave National Monument. We grabbed the Kelty (thanks grandpa Roetzel!!) and suited up. Graham had a blast!!! Mom and Ashley loved it but got their butts kicked. LOL! They made it though and it was all worth the 1000ft in elevation and the 1 1/2 miles of hiking (each way). By the time we checked out the cave and came back down to the bottom of the trail, Graham was sleeping in his carrier! He was wiped out.

Wacky store in Salt Lake

We went to this crazy surplus store in Salt Lake called NPS.  The place is huge and filled with the most random stuff!  Shea stadium replica, check!  Styrofoam head, check!  Twins bobblehead set, check!  Weird people shopping for weird stuff, check!

These are a few of my favorite things!

Katie surprised me with 2 of my favorite foods, lasagna and peanut butter pie!  It was a killer dinner!  We're gonna have visitors for the next few weekends so she figured she'd make me a father's day dinner early.  The moral of the story is that Katie rocks!  :)

We had lunch at Jeff and Alyssa's house following some quality time spent learning the Palm Pre.  I am so tired right now it's ridiculous!  Graham is wide awake though!  Gotta love that combination.  :)  This marks my first blog post from the new Palm Pre!!!  This thing is awesomej

Wow, it's been a long morning

7 hours of sitting outside of the Sprint store and we're 10 minutes away from the Pre! This may be one of my final posts from the trustworthy Palm Treo 700wx! Parting is such sweet sorrow!

First time for everything

I have never "camped" out for a new gadget. Not because there hasn't been a gadget I've lusted over (there have been many) but mostly because I've always thought it was a pretty stupid thing to do. Nonetheless, here I am. Not only am I out at the Sprint store waiting to buy a Palm Pre with my buddy Jeff, we're the first 2 in line! If you're gonna do something, you gotta go all the way, right?

P.S. Don't call me on Saturday afternoon. I'll likely be playing with my new phone or passed out in a deep sleep deprived coma.

Yummy wings for my sad tears

I downed some wings on Saturday night while I watched the Cavs choke in Orlando. It's too bad the amazing season is now officially over but at least I had some awesome wings at the Wing Coop in SLC!

Spring Baseball Game

Perfect Spring day for a Bees game! Jeff's kid got to be the guest announcer for half an inning. He did an awesome job! Good times at the game but man can baseball be boring sometimes!!!

Dead Bird!

Back in my Flint days I used to blog dead things all the time. It seems they're not as common here in Utah. None the less we spotted this dead birdie hanging out in our parking lot at work today. Poor dude. (maybe I should tweet this too) Haha!

Heading Home

My quick trip to Vegas is over. Can't wait to get back home and hang with Katie and Graham. Driving through the AZ canyons is always pretty cool!!!

In N Out madness!

We decided to get some In N Out for lunch in Vegas. Look at this! The place was crazy! Good thing the food is worth it and the line moved fast. Those dudes have making burgers down to a T.

We were covering a fire and the firefighters thought it would be funny to put a stray cat in our live truck. Ha! I thought it was hilarous but my co-worker Jeff (the photographer) wasn't as amused.

Fun Sunday At The Park

We spent a few hours in Provo Canyon on Sunday with Graham. We probably walked 4 miles! As you can see, Graham was all smiles! He had a blast and the weather couldn't have been better! 80 degrees!

Sure, it's a bad habit for a baby to get into (throwing food on the floor) but how can you not laugh when Graham feeds the dogs and thinks it's the funniest thing ever! I love this little dude!!

Andrew mentioned s'mores via txt and then Katie and I had to have some! Us city folk make 'em in the oven. They were so freakin' tasty!!! P.S. We actually love bonfires but we're jealous that we can't have one right now..

Hit a bucket with Jeff after work today. The weather is finally getting better but my swing still sucks!

House fire in Magna

Rushed out to Magna this morning for a house fire. One woman was inside but she's OK. It's always amazing how quickly a slow morning can turn into a busy one!

Sunday jog

We took a Sunday jog on the Jordan River trail and it was great! Graham had a blast! We missed the rain by about 5 minutes! Good thing 'cause it poured.

Cool Rainbow In Our Neighborhood!

We caught an amazing rainbow in our neighborhood after the rain stopped on Sunday. The picture doesn't it show it but you can actually see the entire rainbow from one end to the other!

Covering Swine Flu In Park City

Possible swine flu at the Park City school district. Guess where I get sent? No worries, I have my mask! :D The other picture is me standing in the PC high school parking lot trying to upload a video file via someone's wi-fi. The signal was going in and out so I didn't dare move. I stood there for 10 minutes until the 8mb file finished. Thanks to whoever had an open access point near the school. Lol!

Graham likes baby yogurt!

He especially likes the yogurt that actually makes it into his mouth. As you can see, most of it ends up on his face. :D

You know what they say about guys with big feet... they wear big shoes! This is a size 21!!!! Holy crap!

Sunday hike

We went for a hike on Sunday. The weather was awesome! We went to the Bonneville Shoreline trail and got to use Graham's hiking backpack for the frist time. He seemed to love it! We had a blast!

Tired Graham

The amazing thing I've learned about babies is that they'll fall aslepp ANYWHERE at ANYTIME! Graham is proof of that. How can this possibily be comfortable? I'd be hurting for days if I fell asleep like this!
