Phoenix Children's Museum

This blog post is a bit late, the pictures are from last Saturday (Jan 30) but I still had to post them. We took Graham to the Phoenix children's museum and he had a blast. They even have a section designed only for children under 3. Everyone has to take their shoes off to keep the area clean. Graham ran around non-stop! He picked up the paint brush and painted away. He LOVED the xylophone! We had a great time and Graham was wiped out by the time we left.

Weekend in Atlanta

In Atlanta for John's wedding. Graham actually fell asleep on the plane for 2 hours. That was nice. Too bad he cried his head off before and after. Poor guy, he just wants to stay home. Should be a fun weekend!

We gave Graham some cereal (which he loves) and he quickly proceeded to spinkle it all over the store. I was literally sweeping up life cereal from the floor of TJ Maxx with my hands. Gotta love parenthood!

Graham loves the juice box! He even ate most of his quesadilla. He seems pretty satisfied, look at his smile! He's starting to play with the black beans which means I need to stop blogging and head out.

Missing Utah

We moved to Phoenix about 6 days before we flew to Cleveland for the holidays. We're heading back to Phoenix this morning to what will now be home to us. We're anxious to get back and get settled in but will miss everyone in Ohio.

It was a crazy holiday weekend. 2 days after Christmas my brother, BJ, married his long-time fiancée, Aileen. It was at the Arcade in downtown Cleveland and it was an amazing wedding! The location was breathtaking and we all had a blast! Cheers to Bj and Aileen!!

Graham's 2nd Christmas!

This may be his second Christmas but last year he had no idea what was going on, so we had a blast this year getting him to open presents. After coaxing him to tear the wrapping paper he finally started to realize that cool toys were hidden inside. We all had a blast this year with Graham! Christmas is so much more magical through a child's eyes. Then we ate way too many cookies the rest of the day. As you can see, we never quite got a good picture of the three of us in front of the tree... Graham was too cracked out on sugar.

Heading to Cleveland

We lost a great dog today :(...

He was curious, nosy, funny and rough. He thought he was tougher than any big dog on the block. His name was Martin and he left a hole in our hearts today. It's crazy how much one little min pin can impact our lives.

His kidneys began to fail about a year ago and things have gotten progressively worse. His body was becoming frail even though his personality was still there. That made it really tough to let go. Eventually we knew we had no choice.

He lived life to the fullest and on the whim of every impulse. His mischievous personality will set a high standard for any of our future dogs. He will always be the one and only "Min Pin Rotten."

After 3 days of sleeping on an air matress with a sore back in the morning (I know, I'm getting old), we finally have our own bed! The moving truck showed up at about 12:30pm today. It'll feel so much better here once we get our stuff situated.

After 6 hours of driving including random Graham feedings in parking lots, plenty of baby naps and a buttload of traffic in Phoenix, we finally arrived! It feels good to be off the road but it still feels like we're on vacation. It sure is nice to walk around without a giant winter coat. The sun was shining when we pulled into town. Can't wait to get that truck unloaded when it shows up later this week.

It was a busy morning getting the house cleaned up before we left. Graham got bored and crashed in his playyard. We finally finished up and hit the road at about 2:30p headed to Vegas. We'll miss our house, our friends and the mountains at our doorstep. Utah was good to us but it's time for a new chapter. See ya in Phoenix!

The moving truck has left the driveway

Wow, what a day! The moving truck showed up at 9:45 in the morning and the dudes started taking inventory on our house. 4 1/2 hours later the truck was packed and they were done. With the doors open, the downstairs got down to 40 degrees (see Katie shivering above). Gotta love the 15 degree temperatures outside. Graham was really good! He even fell asleep in his playyard while the moving guy was tagging stuff 10 feet away. We're just happy everything is all packed up. Almost time to hit the road with our 2 cars, dogs and a baby!

Last Day At Fox13

3 years sure can fly by! Nineveh (my trusty co-anchor) got me a nice yellow and pink cake. She also bought me a bottle of creamer (because she's notorious for stealing mine). I ended my day with liveshots in the snow storm. Fitting right before our move to Phoenix, don't ya think? Now Katie and I have to get this stinking house packed! We can't wait until this move is over!
